What is a wine/alcohol refractometer?
Refractometers are portable instruments for liquid concentration detection and quality control. The wine refractometer can quickly measure alcohol concentration for quality control during the wine and liquor production process. It also measures the sugar content (Brix or Baume level) in grape juice or fermenting wine to determine fruit maturity and monitor fermentation progress. This portable, accurate, and easy-to-use instrument is widely used in vineyards, wineries, and distilleries.
How are our refractometers different?
Handheld refractometers have been a key product of our company since 1995. We have been using solid copper for key parts like the prism base and eyepiece. This not only lends the instrument a refined, robust feel but also effectively eliminates measurement errors caused by oxidation, corrosion, or deformation, thus enhancing accuracy and durability.
In terms of optical design, we use crown glass as the prism substrate. This material is known for its low dispersion characteristics, which effectively reduce refractive deviation across different wavelengths. Additionally, each model's internal optical path is independently calculated and designed by our engineers, to maximize measurement accuracy.
